dc.description.abstract | Learning disability and their remedial services are quite relevant issues in India. Since the last few years, awareness about the issue is being discussed across various schools in Kerala. Except a few provisions during examination, neither the Ministry of Education nor the school authorities has made any attempt to integrate or meet the need of disabled ones in the regular school system. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of reading strategies to remediate reading deficits in learning disabled children. A total of seventy-two
(72) students were identified as reading disabled which is equally distributed into control and experimental groups. The ANOVA examines the mean difference in the reading skills of LD students before and after the intervention program. The most significant finding of the present study was that there exists a significant difference in the reading skill of auditory, visual and applied learners after using the learning strategies. | en_US |
