The main objective of this research is to examine the effectiveness of European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) Model on employee retention of UAE Public Healthcare Sector, particularly the employees in the Public Healthcare Sector that are working in a hospital which is accredited for excellence model performance (EFQM) are around 18,000 employees. The study hypothesizes are to examine the effect of Knowledge and Capability (KC), Involvement & Empowerment (IE), Effective Communication (EC), and Reward & Recognition (RR) practices as the EFQM fundamental concept of succeeding through people factors, which this study used as the research model variables to assess its effect on the Employees Retention (ER) in the public hospitals in UAE. It also explores the effect on a detailed demographics of the sample responded to the research survey. The results of the statistical analysis using structural equation modeling (SEM) with AMOS showed from the employees perception that neither Knowledge & capability practices nor the effective communication are considered factors effecting the employees retention. Only reward and recognition does show significant relationship with the employees retention. More details were investigated based on moderating role of the demographics such as job level, background, years of experience and organization size of the contributed groups of the study sample. This segregation among the groups helps to identify a partially impact on the rejected hypotheses. vii Surprisingly and contrary to the study hypotheses that mentioned above gives indication for future studies to explore the mediating (maybe) factors that may play an important role in this relationship. Implications of the study model can be used for management/human resource management as well as for future research and exploration.en_US
